Welcome to the official Munique Dança Forró Awareness and Safe Spaces page!
This space is a direct response to community needs and a reflection of our commitment to fostering a truly safe and inclusive environment for everyone who loves forró.
This page, like our community, will always be „under construction“ because we believe in continuous improvement and building together. The Munique Dança Awareness Team formed organically from discussions within our scene and in response to incidents, both local and global, that brought to light the need for a central point of contact and action. Much work has already been happening behind the scenes, and we’ve taken steps to address various concerns. Now, we’re excited to officially launch this platform, starting with a vital tool for our upcoming 2025 Festival and beyond.
Our first and most important tool is a simple contact form, designed to give you a direct line to the Awareness Team. We want to hear from you!
We understand that speaking up can be difficult, and you have the option to contact us anonymously through the form. You can also choose to whom within the Awareness Team your message will be sent, with the promise that only the selected person will see it if you prefer to keep it private.
Important consideration for anonymous reports: If your message requires action or a follow-up, it will be crucial for you to provide a way for us to contact you back. Without your contact information, we have no way to reach out for further details or to inform you of the steps taken. We know it might feel strange or even scary, but please try to give us a secure way to reach you if you anticipate needing a follow-up.
We are dedicated to making every Munique Dança Forró event a safer space where everyone is respected. This means creating an environment free from discrimination, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, cultural background, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of who you are.
We hope this page will be a valuable resource for our community, fostering open communication and ensuring that Munique Dança Forró remains a joyful and safe space for all.

Andreas: Born in Brazil, moved to Germany in 2012 for Work but stayed because of forro and the Mountains. Since 2014 member of the Munique Danca Forró Organisation and now in the The Awareness and Safespaces Team also. This found a way to him almost from it own, being the person that some people looked for getting some problems solved in different events.

Aylin has been an active member of the Forró community and Munique Dança since 2015. With a background in social work and systemic consulting, her professional expertise in awareness work and mindful boundary setting directly translates to her commitment to fostering safe dance spaces. She even dedicated part of her Bachelor’s thesis to awareness in Forró. Aylin is passionate about preventing (sexual) harassment, discrimination, and violence through education.
If you ever feel uncomfortable, please reach out to Aylin or another team member – your concerns are important and will be taken seriously.

Bruninha Svionth a Brazilian living in Germany since 2013, has been a forró dancer and part of the Munique Dança Forró team ever since.

Lisa danced her first steps of Forró in a Brazilian-spanish kitchen in Aveiro, Portugal in 2013. Enchanted by the happiness and peacefulness of the dance, she started taking classes at Munique dança e.V. shortly after. After many years of volunteering, visiting workshops and festivals, she started teaching herself in 2019 and became a team member of MDF.
In 2022, she joined the MDF board, always trying to make people feel the same love she has for the dance through her work.
Since day one, Forró always felt like a safe space for Lisa, where she could close her eyes while dancing, feel safe and just be herself. She wants this experience for everyone, which made her join the awareness team.

Luisa Conti, a dedicated Forró teacher and promoter based in Munich, Germany, began her Forró journey in Rome in 2013. She has been teaching and organizing Forró events since 2020, with regular classes in Prague, Rome, and currently in Munich, where she also coordinates the Munique Dança Forró association’s teacher team. Luisa’s teaching philosophy champions gender and role equality, emphasizing communicative and playful dancing where both followers and leaders are empowered. This commitment to equitable participation and clear communication directly aligns with the principles of creating safe and respectful spaces within the forró community.
